Terms of Service
Plain-English terms.
Last updated 2026-05-08. Beta period. Read the privacy notice alongside this.
1. The deal
Irv is a beta product. You can use it for free as long as the beta runs. We can change pricing at any time but we'll email you 30 days before any change lands and we won't retroactively bill for beta usage.
2. What you bring
You bring an account (sign up via Clerk), a Lovable app or other website you control, and the events your visitors generate by using that site. You confirm you have the right to send those events to us.
3. What we promise
Best-effort uptime. Best-effort accuracy. The HyperLogLog rollups have a documented ±0.81% standard error at scale. Beta means things break — we'll fix them, but we can't promise SLAs. No data loss commitment beyond what Vercel + Upstash promise us.
4. Your data
Yours. We store events for 30 days raw, longer in aggregated form (HLL rollups, daily counts). We never sell it. We never use it to train AI models. We use it to: render your dashboard, generate your AI insights, send your digests, and run statistical analysis on your behalf. You can delete everything from /app/account at any time. You can export everything from /app/account at any time.
5. PII handling
Don't put PII in custom event property values. We auto-redact emails / phones / SSNs / IPv4s at ingest as a safety net, but the right move is to not send them in the first place. The exception: irv.identify(email) is allowed — we use the email for the identity graph and never expose it back via the analytics API.
6. Your code, your call
If you connect GitHub, we read the repo to derive a tracking plan and pair commits with metric movement. We don't push code unless you opt in to auto-instrument PRs (off by default). When the bot does open a PR, you review and merge it like any other PR — it doesn't auto-merge.
7. AI outputs
The Daily Brief, Weekly Narrative, Ask Irv answers, and Canvas summaries are generated by Claude. They're meant to be useful drafts, not legal advice / medical advice / investment advice. We do our best to ground them in your actual data and we narrate findings only after they've passed statistical significance, but the model can still hallucinate. Trust but verify, especially for high-stakes decisions.
8. Things you can't do
Don't use Irv to surveil employees / consumers in ways that violate their local laws. Don't try to break our service. Don't use Irv to send events on behalf of sites you don't control. Don't share your read tokens publicly.
9. Changes
We can update these terms. Material changes are emailed 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Irv after a change means you accept it.
10. Disputes
If something goes wrong, email support before lawyers. Governed by the laws of the jurisdiction the company is incorporated in. No class actions during the beta period.
